    Default Ice Cold Slabs

I was off last Friday and decided to go chase the thump even though it wouldn't be above freezing until after I left the lake. Truck issues and sonar issues set me back a couple of hours, probably the best fishing hours that day. It was sunny with just a light wind. Since my sonar wasn't working, I had to locate brush piles by memory which was a little easier than I though it would be. I still.like being able to see what is down there. Despite fishing blind, I caught 20 keepers with 10 of those being close to a pound and a half. I still haven't had a fish fry to make room for fresh crappie, so they were all released for someone else to catch. Today I am working a creel shift on Greers Ferry and dreaming about the last two weeks of the year that I will be taking vacation. I can't wait!

Sounds like a good day . Best bite for us was after lunch . That was a major cold front , tough getting equipment to work when temps in the teens !

Nice catch. That vacation sounds great, hope you catch a bunch.
