thanks David this info will definitely keep some folks from ripping off lower units and destroying props
The concrete hazards that Nimrod is talking about are right in the center of the old river channel on the East edge of English Branch where it emptied into the Fourche River. I can't remember if they are as I have them drawn or they may be North and South of each other. Now that I think about it maybe they are oriented opposite of the way I have them drawn. They are located North of the rock bluff on the South side of the lake.
These supported the old railroad that used to cross the river at this location. Use extreme caution in this area. I hope this info will save a few lower units during this drawdown.

Thanks guys, I had no idea that was there.
Thanks guys. I know it's there. Last time lake was low I tore up a stainless steel prop there. Cost me 350 dollars. I was in the channel, idling.

Thanks! If it's out there I will hit it. Maybe now I can tip toe past.
A lot of the green and red channel marker bouys are missing and need to be replaced. I got with the corp this week and got us some shelves built in the new fish cleaning station for setting dry items like cameras, phones, cardboard boxes of baggies ect. Next time I speak with the guys I'll see what we can do about getting more channel markers out. Some of the newer ones have solar powered lights on top of them. Really cool to see at night.

No problem Jerry, I've already heard of people tearing up motors and trailers trying to launch at Anderson Branch ramps. End of concrete probably isn't 10 feet out by now. They have marked the ends now. PVC pipes marking the low water ramps out on the point at Anderson Branch are showing now but water is still about 2 feet high to use them yet. Carden Point might be a safer place to launch as that ramp there is steeper. I know that you use that ramp a lot Jerry.
Raining now so I can't shoot my bow so I think I'll drive around and snap some pics of the ramps and lake level. I'll get them posted as soon as I get back.
Later,
Dave
