Sad but it seems like this is becoming the norm on public access locations . It has been the same on some private spots till landowners shut them off .![]()
Last few times out there this year have been sad to see all the trash everywhere. Stopped today on my lunch break and there was an older gentleman by the name Lester Parks I think he said. While his grandson fished he had his gloves on and a trash bag and was busy filling it up. I helped just a little and visited with him and told him I appreciated his efforts. I realize he probably won't see this but wanted to publicly acknowledge his efforts. And D10 there used to be some trash cans out there...did they get washed away or stolen?

I routinely pick up trash out there. Very sad indeed. There were some trash cans out there that were picked up from the tornado debris. We left them there as a trial run and people brought there household trash and piled it all around the can. The city removed the trash cans. You just can't fix stupid, lazy, or don't care. Very very sad. We have the same problem on the banks of Caney creek every Fall and Winter. We pick up truck loads of trash every week out there. Makes me very mad and should make everyone else mad too!

I wish the people doing this would stop being selfish lazy pigs!! I try to leave places better than I found them. I am glad there are people who care enough to put some effort into making things better.
