    Default Lake Greeson 4/8/16

Taking the family on a Greeson camping trip this weekend! Wife is wanting me to leave all my spider rig gear at home. She says a real man will come up with a way to put crappie in the boat without all them poles! So....to avoid temptation I better leave them at home! Here we go Mr. Nimrod....gonna learn that solo-pole because I have no other option. Now.....anyone got any fresh advice for the lake that they would be willing to share? Gonna use alot of information GTT was gracious enough to share! I was supposed to have made the trip a month ago but stuff kept coming up. But not this weekend, ITS ON! I have got to catch some of those beautiful specks!!!!! Is the water clearing up there or is it Grenada muddy? I have never been there.

You're gonna feel the thump so much you'll have tennis elbow when you get home. LOL

They use to have some maps at the state park that showed the brush piles. If you have trouble finding a map let me know and I will see what I can find. The way you catch crappie I figure we will be seeing some good pictures. Got to love that thump!

I've not been there since March 26. Some of my cousins are there now and are catching a lot of small crappie, but not many big ones. The fish are not shallow yet, but we all can't understand exactly why? Good luck. GTT

That's because y'all are catching them before they can get there. Poor fish won't stand a chance with you and LowePro there together. LOL

Good luck. You all know I love to troll all different kinds of ways, but there ain't nothing like that pole in hand when they are hammering it. Plus, in some conditions, it is the very best way to catch a good fish. Second to tight lining with along pole, a casting rod with a float will get my blood pumping too.
