Rescued a guy last week who had that same thing happen. Glad to do it....kept a fellow fisherman from going swimming. GTT
Well just got in from a day of many mishaps and no tasty crappie, I figure it will be sometime next week before they turn back on I mean I didn't even get one thump today but enjoyed being on the water. So here's one of my many mishaps today, I tied my boat off to get my truck and load started backing up and my boat is at least 50ft from the dock so I had to go swimming and fast the wind was getting with it, got it swam back pulling on the rope. What a day !

A very chilly day for a swim. Fishing was tough here as well.

Sorry to hear of your mishaps, I have been there.
I sit here and think about it and I laugh, Yes it was chilly and miserable but my mistake by not securing my rig properly. Hey but one good thing I got my bi monthly bath.
I'm just waiting for something like that to happen to me. when I unload I have about a 50ft rope tied to my boat and I hold on to it in my truck while I back in till she floats off. One of these days it'll get away from me with my luck.
