Knowing the bottom contour is most important. I know every inch of my reservoirs and have seen em bone dry more than I can count. I used to live right on em and would be the only place I used to fish. Once the water heats up if it is a shallow reservoir the bite will sometimes shut totally down. Once my reservoirs get low they shut down 9 times out of 10. If it is a deep water reservoir I would use my electronics to find em. Let me know if you have any questions that I did not answer. I will be happy to help!
Could be oxygen problem but bet they could be going extremely shallow in shallow reservoirs in hot weather. They do that in some oxbows and even shallow lakes like Nimrod .
Looks like some good ones . I think the little lady has CP beat on the four fish hold .
