I love my X3, The new unbreakable shaft and double cable steering makes it great. Very quite motor.
I goobered up my old Motorguide trolling motor last week fishing in Caney Creek. It was already on its last leg but the inevitable is here. My wife and I are headed out to Bass Pro today and I have a $500 budget. I am torn between the MG X3 or the MK Edge. Both are in 65lb thrust and both are in the same price range. I loved my old MG but I was wondering if anyone has had any experience, positive or negative, with either of those motors?

The MG X3 Has a unbreakable shaft with a lifetime warranty on it. Either are fine.

Oops, the wife and I had already left before you guys sent me your comments. We were out all day and we stopped by Bass Pro. I went with the MK. Been using MG for years so I decided to try something different. Anything is better than what I have now. Thanks for your comments and good fishing to everyone.
I figured this thread would be much bigger with him asking for an expert. Lmao.
