Don't make the same mistake I did. Not only does Lakemaster not map Dardanelle, it doesn't map Ouachita, Hamilton, Greeson, Nimrod, Blue Mountain. or hardly any other lakes in Arkansas.

i ended up with a Navionics chip in mine, but it's very inaccurate at times. For example the river channel is often off by 200-300 yards in the upper end of Lake Ouachita.
After checking out the various mapping chips, Garmin is the only way to go for Arkansas. Unfortunately their mapping chip only works in their units. But compare the lake list...

Lake Ouachita is the big lake I'm closest to. The Garmin mapping there is what they call MAXDEF. It's a survey map, meaning they got out in boats with special sonar gear and mapped the entire lake. It's got 1 foot contours, and everywhere I've been so far on Ouachita the maps have been dead on accurate. Most of the older mapping is made from old topographic maps made before the lakes were filled.
Hopefully Humminbird will release an update for the midsouth lakes chip .... someday. But I'm not holding my breath.
