So my wife and I go crappie fishing every year for our anniversary.(Saturday) and I had a guide hired for us this weekend and he cancelled on me cause if the weather. Trying to find us somewhere else to go. Anybody know of anything? We aren't afraid to brave the elements but some guides just don't want to and I understand. Any help is appreciated! Thanx!

This weekend would be a tough weekend to guide in Arkansas. We are predicted to get up to 5" of rain. It might be in your best interest to postpone your trip until a better weekend. Just an idea.

Yep, I was thinking that too. There's some nice cabins over there or a nice hotel at the Kirby Marina. There's an Italian restaurant in Glenwood that's every bit as good as Olive Garden for half the price. Sorry, can't remember the name, but it's superb. Maybe you could fish on Sunday? I think the rain will be gone by then.
My my wife likes to go to SunBay in Hot Springs. I have fished off the dock there and caught monster bluegill, redears, and catfish, but that's in May. You and your wife have a good time because that's what really matters. If the weather messes you up and you can't go fishing and have fun, stay home and find something else to do that's fun
I've been married for 24 years to my wife and I love her more today than I did then. I may see if my wife wants to find something fun to do, even though it's not our anniversary! Congrats to you and your wife and good luck with the fishing! GTT
With the forecast I don't blame the guide , you might be lucky he did not just want to take your money. if we get 5'' of rain it could be miserable , if it rises like Nimrod it will rise fast . With those fast rises fishing is not good to say the least . Just reschedual your trip. Ya'll could get a nice cabin and watch fishing on television . Congrats on your anniversary .
As a guide I agree with what the others have posted, your guide did you a favor by not taking your money. It's nothing I hate worse than taking a client out and the fish won't bite even when they have been biting.
