No limit on horsepower
I haven't fished it for 30 years, but there used to be a 10 HP limit on it. Is there still a motor size limit on Lake Conway?Of course, it was for good reason with all the stumps.
No limit on horsepower
No limit. Stumps are still there though!

Get on plane and trimmed out, the stumps wont know the difference.
Lol, outboards are too expensive for that. I think, I'll just stick to the trolling motor.
Good plan if you are unsure. I have seen more motors and lower units torn up from people putting around in the boat trails than from anything else. Just a tip for those that are new to the lake: If you are going to use your big motor to slowly navigate the lake, in the trails and out of them, trim your motor up so that the prop and lower unit is higher than the bottom of the boat. Just make sure you are still pumping water out the pee hole. And try to go at a slow enough speed that your boat is relatively flat. I see people all the time with their motor trimmed all the way down, eighth to quarter throttle, nose of the boat straight up in the air! They think they are playing it safe because they are going slow. Bad idea, your prop is in the mud!
