    Default report on Nimrod Lake

Sorry to say today was as slow as I have seen since lake returned to normal levels a few weeks ago . We caught a good number but few good ones . Wind was awful and fish were not cooperating alot . We fished from river mouth to almost Sunlight and several bays trying to stay out of the wind . I figured it might be good since moon was no longer full .

Man, that wind is rough! We fought it all day yesterday. Only one spot on the whole lake that was somewhat protected. Luckily it was holding some fish

Carried my dad up there this mornin. Stayed on the north side of the lake for the most part and probably stuck 15 fish but none over 8 or 9 inches. I noticed on down imaging quite a few giant bait balls or schools of small crappie but never could catch a fish around em. That wind was tough with a hand controlled troller and my boat is light so any wind moves it. Pretty mornin. The biscuits at kings one stop arent as good as the ones i used to buy out there but they hey quantity over quality took over and i topped it with donut cakes and coffee.

Wind makes it tough but I suspect the shallow areas are turning over with slower bite and water muddied up . Shad are everywhere , big schools all over the lake . Bet we caught well over 75 and kept a good mess . Should get better once the wind settles down a few days .
