Been considering buying this boat. Any insight on your setup would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought a 961 Blackhawk in February and the little I've got to use it I like it so far. What kind of problems are you having?

I have had the 861 Predator for 4 years and have had no problems with it so far. War Eagle is building a slightly custom 2170 Blackhawk for me now so the 861 will be for sale shortly. The only complaint that I have is that it small for windy days on the COE lakes in MS. I'm tired of getting tossed around in rough conditions. I fish some with John Harrison and like the stability and room of the 2170 Blackhawk that he uses. We have been able to fish in his boat on days that I would be off the lake in my boat and that includes dragging chains or using big wind socks behind the 861.

We also take our spider rigging gear and crank bait pulling gear at the same time during the transition from spring to summer and summer to fall. We may start the morning spider rigging and then pull cranks during the middle of the day. We are cramped for space with the 861 especially if we take a 3rd person with us. This is not a boat issue just need more room and a bigger boat for rough conditions. I don't have any structural complaints with the boat. It has served me well we have just outgrown it. I would love to have a Ranger 621VS but that one is out of my budget! Haha!

I replied to your pm! I don't have any problem loading the boat on the trailer. I do have the same make of trailer that you have. The trailer company builds trailers for several different makes and models. They may have matched the wrong trailer with your boat. I would give Nick Carter at War Eagle a call he can probably tell you if that is the issue. 870-367-1554
