Most folks don't realize how big a 1 Lb. bream really is. I maybe have caught half a dozen that went a pound or better in all my years fishing Santee Cooper. I hear folks saying they got a mess of 1 pound bream, and I am thinking "No you didn't". They fight so hard that a 1/2 pound one feels like a pound or better.
Friend of mine said, "If bream got as big as Largemouth you would never land one". He may be right.
    Congraulaltions on a nice fish.
