Good catch thanks for sharing
Guess my buddy and I were the only ones on Nimrod yesterday. The weather was "unsettled" light rain, wind from every direction. But we did manage to catch 30 keepers and thru back about that many more. The gates are closed and the water level has been stable for a few days. We were fishing about 8feet in 30fow around willow trees

Finally a fishing report. There's been so little activity on the site I thought something was wrong with my phone. WTG! It's encouraging that someone is out there fishing. I'd take that mess any day.

No size limit on Nimrod. All over 9". We only caught 10 today but they were all nice. Windy as heck
Great job. Thanks for the post.
The size limit of 10'' years ago did not work. Nimrod is flood control and it is rare to have a spring/summer without high water. We have a problem of too high Crappie densities which slows growth . The numbers seem to be dropping and size was increasing but in my opinion this flood will not help Crappie fishing. Most lakes it helps by insuring a good survival of the spawn but here it compounds the over population problem . Letting folks take limits of small fish really helps in the long run here . I have a self imposed limit of 10'' Crappie but legally you can keep it if it bites the hook size wise. Don't bash the guys keeping small fish if they want as long as limits of 30 not exceeded here. I used to feel same way but I realized they help by thinning out the dinks so we can grow more quaility fish .
