Woke up this morning and decided give the crappie heck with a good friend of mine and my lil cousin that is spending the summer with me. Power trolling 1-1.4mph jigs in believe it or not 2-4fow. Water temp was 86. Some of the crappie were warm, but where we caught most of the fish, the fish felt cold to the touch. First i ever noticed of this anyways we had a blast! Biggest fish was 16.5 inches and had several over 15. I do a lil taxidermy from time to time so my cousin and I are going to mount the big fish of the day. Fish is really mount worthy. A lil learning experience. It was definitely not his biggest believe it or not. He caught a 19 incher off of lake Millwood several years ago. And put the cold steel to that big ole fat gal. He didn't realize the significance of the fish at the time. But does now. I will try to get the photo and post it of his personal best crappie. Its quite unbelievable.
