Pretty fish and tasty
Yesterday, we went to a local watering hole - we were armed the old fashion way with 10 foot rods, crickets, and small corks. We were ready to do battle with the shell crackers. As thick as the lily pad stems were - it did make it challenging. Guess what, that is where those bad boys live. Last night, my daughter-in-law which is an average to small little lady and can flat out eat some crappie fillets - she asked if those fish were as good as crappie and my son said pretty quick - dad has fixed those several times and you just thought they were crappie. Yes they are good. Memorial Day we are going to have family and friends over which will include a menu of bream and crappie fillets, and some whole bream, BBQ ribs, red beans and rice, french fries, coleslaw and hushpuppies. I would imagine my wife and daughter-in-law will come up with some really good desserts. Everybody enjoy your upcoming holiday weekend.
