    Default Help on Lake Hamilton

Long time no see guys. Have been out of circulation for a while now. Going to be taking wife and kids to Hamilton this weekend. Getting a condo on that lake, and using my dads boat. Be there all weekend. We are pretty excited about it! Wondering if anyone might would share some information on it. Only been on Hamilton a couple times bass fishing a long time ago. Would love to find some crappie. Any info would be of help, as we won't know where to start. lol. PM me if you would rather.

    Thanks guys!!

Never caught any crappie there, but my father-in-law and I found some bluegill beds around some boat houses one time and had a BIG TIME! I mean big, bull nosed, can't get your hand around them, bluegills. That was this same time of year because we were staying in a condo over Mother's Day weekend.

We stayed at SunBay Resort and left their cove and headed North then went around some gigantic mansions on the left and curled around and made a couple of "S" curves and found a nice little cove on the west side of the lake. We went through that cove bass fishing and caught a couple of small ones, then we noticed the bluegill beds underneath us in some clear water very close to a boat house. We moved past, then came back and put a whoop on em. I do remember that. Hope you find some fish. GTT

Thanks guys. Couldn't find anything on the AGFC website. Big bluegills would be fun for sure!! May have to try to find them. According to reports the bass are not in the shallows anymore. Figure the crappie are not either. Maybe they won't be too deep. Would love to find some crappie. Figure they'll be hard to find. I was going to pm Daryl Morris, I know he knows it like the back of his hand...but he hasn't been on here in a long time either. I know he knows the lake very well. But would hate to call and ask advice since he is a guide makes his living that way. Doesn't really seem right to do that. May just have to take our chances on it. Still have a few days before we leave. Maybe someone will chime in with crappie experience on Hamilton. Thanks again guys!!

Ok, took some digging but found the interactive map that the AGFC puts out. Been out of the loop too long. lol. Found the map here for those that haven't seen it. AGFC GIS Mapper 2.0 Looks like Hamilton is full. Maybe the structure is still in good shape!!!
