    Default Carter Cove lake Nimrod fish cleaning station


    The new fish cleaning station is now open. It has a enclosed building and also stainless grinder for scraps like those in Mississippi. I was told it will even grind up Catfish scraps . Thanks to The Nimrod Corps of Engineers for the upgrade. Hope everyone takes pride and realize how blessed we are to have it. Lets take pride and keep it clean for everyone. Many lakes don't have them and out of towners are really pleased that we do. Be nice if they were put in on all COE lakes.

    Is there a similar one planned elsewhere, like Sunlight Bay, maybe? Us Porter Creek Dink Divers need one too. I enjoy the one they have, though.

    Great !! I was camped there last week and had to go to Quarry Cove to clean fish.. I'll be back next week and maybe I can help break in the new station. Will it take turkey feathers, coz I got a big one down that way last Wednesday ?? Are there any fish cleaning stations on Dardanelle? I live in Russellville, so I clean fish at home, but I am unaware of any on Big D.. Really never looked for one.

    Not any at the state park. There was one at COE park at Piney Creek, guess its still there.

    Very nice. Where do the ground up scraps go? Back into lake? I have never seen one in person.
