Default BEWARE Buzzards are back at Brewer.......

So, Yesterday April 3 I launched at Brewers N. ramp went and caught a decent amount of crappie (kept 23) and came back in at 1pm. I pulled the boat up and notice a group of buzzards about 20 roosting on my truck. I ran them off and looked over my truck........ They absolutely trashed my 2013 2500 4x4 Silverado..... They tore up every accessable piece of rubber molding, truck has hundreds of deep scratches were they slipped and drug their nasty claws on each rail, the hood, and top of the truck. They pooped all over it and that nasty stuff has a really gross acid in it.
Reported it to insurance and just got notified that it will be between 8-12 thousand dollars to repair. I had nothing in the bed of the truck to draw them, craziest thing Ive ever seen. Luckily insurance will cover it but next time I will be packing heat.....

I stopped by there Thursday and saw them roosting in the trees by the North ramp. There was probably 50-60 of 'em. Went fishing there today and didn't see any buzzards or catch any fish... cool front musta messed em up. Glad ins is taking care of your truck.

That's terrible, man! Heard stories about them last year at Brewer too. I'm not sure about this but I think the danged things are protected. Might check this out before you shoot them. Glad your insurance covered the loss.

    Great Googly Moogly.
Conway Corporation needs to be advised...........and they need to do something. Please let them know. They might be liable.

Sorry about your truck.......They cost me $180 on my new truck last year eating the rubber seal around the moon roof glass. If Conway corp. had to reimburse people for the damages done, I bet they would take care of the problem.

If the buzzards get very bad and people start giving Conway Corp. a hard time they may just shut the gates

If they can't control the buzzards enough to stop them from causing $10,000 damage, maybe they need to shut the gates.

    Geez.
