    Default Lake Greeson 3-28-15

My friends Perry and Brad and I caught 21 crappie and 2 redears on Saturday, March 28. Most were in shallow water up in the buck brush. Caught most of mine on a Kalin's Arkansas Shiner colored Triple Threat Shad. Well, you can see it. And a good time was had by all!

I was at the mercy of some cousins last weekend in their boat. I told them what you said. They insisted on fishing in 18' about 6 to 8' deep. they caught a few. I have lost my mojo and didn't catch the first one. Small roseys and electric chicken Slater's. DP

My cousins were catching some in the deep water a week ago, then about on Wednesday, fish weren't in the spots they were in the days before. They moved shallow. My cousins, friends, and I caught lots of big crappie last Wednesday thru Saturday fishing near banks/ buck brush with a jig about 18 inches under a cork. Sometimes the cork would run back under the brush because the fish couldn't actually take it under. Also, several flashed us before we ever saw the cork move. Love this time of year, but it's unpredictable. They may not be there anymore or you may limit out by 9 a.m. Last year, my cousin and I had our best day on April 7, fishing in the rain. Lots of black males made for rainy day fun that day.

I'll bet you didn't lose your mojo, you just fished where most of the fish had moved away from. GTT

Here's a pic that my cousin, Jeff, sent me. He, his son Chad and his wife, Korina, were also fishing at Greeson on Saturday. We saw him catch one of those two big ones. Thanks to him for putting me on those fish in that particular cove.
