    Default Poor mans beetle spin

Some of us are too poor to afford to buy ready made tackle so we are forced to improvise. This is the poor mans version of the beetle spin. Remember, "poor people have poor ways", so don't be too critical.

That might be a good bait for the fall, when they're wanting a bigger bait. I may try that on my bottom hooks and go with Donnie's gnats on the top hooks. The way you rigged that, there won't be any ware on the line.

That was the second creation in the RCC line of DIY fishing lures. Fixing to market these. I'm thinking 3 beads, a #2 hook, a 1/16 jighead, a swivel, and 2 spinner blades for about 8 bucks. The possibilites are basically unlimited. Many of you may not have seen my first, the DIY Roadrunner.

Don't be telling all our secrets. A couple years ago, bait of the day was a pink jighead, with no jig.
