Nothing like the Golden Titanium One piece tip Midsouth Man designed....Hope they go back to it soon and see the errors of their ways.

I agree. The solid tip was one of the main reasons I bought the Ozark rods. I hope they bring them back.

I just ordered 3 of the 10ft rear reel seat poles from Grizzly with an extra tip. The poles were the old style tip as I requested but the extra tip was the new style and it will not fit the old style bottoms. Josh at Grizzly is making it right. Those guys are great to deal with.

BIG mistake on changing the tips back to the old version. It was that tip that set Ozark rods apart from the rest even if the rest soon followed. That tip was one of my biggest contributions to the fishing industry. Who knows, maybe there is another rod in the making that uses my tip design and stronger lightweight material? Oh and built right here in the natural state, not in china! Hint, hint.....

That would be interesting. Wonder when they would be on the market if someone ever did such a thing?

The tip was solid but only coated with titatium nitride would be my guess. I am looking for some new tips as mine have worn through the coating and starting to groove .
