Well thanks for all the input so far it's the AA or Mister Twister and by RCC's story the twister is going to be hard to beat. I also think the older knifes are much better than the new ones from the reviews i have read. the twister is 30 or 40 bucks the AA is 110 to 150 bucks

I've been using the Rapala Ion cordless knife and I really like it. I can clean a limit on a charge and I got an extra battery. Sure is convenient.

Go to a restaurant supply and buy one. Got one over 10 Yrs old. Super heavy duty.

If you go with cheaper models get two and switch often to keep them from getting too hot. Should be fine, but I'd get the AA.

I loved my AA used it for years. Thought that I had lost one that I had and I was tickled when I found it in the storage building. My first electric knife was a rapala 12/120 it just did not have the speed and it burnt out pretty quick. When my last AA finally broke down I went out looking for another like it and could not find one so I picked up a cheap Academy brand. It has amazingly worked really well for the last year and it was cheap. The only problem I had with it is that they come with a little safety button on the trigger, but I took a toothpick and wedged it down and added a little super glue and fixed that problem. So in my opinion AA first, but I would not overlook the Academy brand it was $20 so you could by 4 or 5 of them compared to one AA.

I got an aa for Christmas back in 2000. I have cleaned thousands of fish with it. It still works but this spring the blades have started slipping when it gets hot. Picked up a cheap one from academy on hot deal for 10 bucks. Have yet to try it. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another aa.
