    Question Lake Ouachita


    Is anyone fishing Lake Ouachita Lena North side ? We're going up and would like to find some hot spots.

    If you have a gps I will send you the gps coordinates of my crappie condos if you are interested. I have a boat in a slip up there and have fished it regularly for 10+ years.

    How long are you going to stay up there and are you going to be fishing for anything other than crappie?

    Also a FYI of sorts. The name of the new marina is North Shores. It used to be Navy landing and before that Lena landing.

    How could a guy go about getting some of those coordinates? I have always put out at Crystal but wouldn't mind traveling.

    Well...

    we didn't find the Crappie! But we found the Bream! Huge Bream..which is great we haven't done that in a while. We really don't keep little fish...and you can catch little bream just about anywhere. it's nice to add some slabo bream to the fish fry.

    Supposed to go back the next weekend or so. I think fishing up there is a bit different than fishing the smaller waters. We know of some good Crappie spots by Mtn. Habor, but it's so far to travel.

    Yeah, big bream are fun to catch. Heck, the little ones are, too. I just don't like to mess with the bait-sized ones.

    Mountain Harbor's where I fish, but we missed the 'em altogether on Saturday.

    I do. Mainly bream fishing. Got my new Lowrance HDS7 Gen 2 and we found several areas with big bream in the Tompkins Bend area. Need to go soon.

    I fished out by Denby last Sunday caught 3 one good one water temp was 59 by sundown should be getting better every day
