Just checked this AM on the tip guide on our Ozarks. My 11 foot is different than the 10ft. I noticed on the 10ft the other day that I got it half hitched and it wouldn't come off without getting it in my hand and untangling. I don't think the 11 will do that as bad with the different guide on the tip. I'll get a picture.

At the end of the day when the thump is on no matter when we get the bite or what pole they hit...... we just gotta get em in the boat. Whatever works for the angler.......tight lines gang! We all may just set the hook a little different or fish different conditions so if it ain't broke don't fix it!

I like a 10 ft when i'm fishing during the spring around trees and brush. I can control it better underneath limbs.

I also tend to catch more fish because it's not as stiff as a 11 or 12 ft. Very good when you have 2ft or less line out.

Deep water choice is 11 ft. Hope this is helpful.

    Default 10 ft or 11ft?

Meathead your name was already mentioned, Russ was giving the man options on where to buy the rod I think. You are not the only seller in town remember and I have bought from both of you guys. Both of you have supported the fish camps in the past so why not mention all the supporters that sell IMO.

I was with nimble head while we pushed them minners. He had a good time as did I and Brm. Nimbles boat is minnnowless. With that said, he does well on his lakes his way. I enjoy dragging a jig with him too when we can get together.

I would think that if Nimble lived in Mississippi around those lakes he would fish a different way and not be so hard on the trollers.

I was once very narrow minded and thought jigs was the only way to fish. I now keep an open mind and fish all methods.

I can say I have both the 10 and 11 ft oz ozarks. I like them both but fish the 10 more as it is lighter. The 11 has more back bone for sure but then again that's what a net is for when you want to use it. I wish I could hold a pole longer than I can but my bursitis and neuropathy won't allow me too without paying for it.

Just try them out and decide for yourself. You can always sell it if you don't like it.

Excel is the bnm lighter than the 10 Ozark?

Now yall get out and go fishing.
