We are heading down with a small group of couples from Kansas City. All of us guys will be going fishing most of the time.... Is the crappie fishing good @ beaver? If so an tips would be great. Or should we just get a stripper guide.
Thanks for the help
Split the cost and catch a nice stripper each!
"I HAVE FISHED THROUGH FISHLESS DAYS THAT I REMEMBER HAPPILY WITHOUT REGRET"
Y'all are too funny! Seriously, there are a few on here who fish for crappie on Beaver. I think they do pretty good from time to time. I would contact some if the local guides an see what is hot. Then I would hire one for a half day or full day to figure out what to do. Then I would mimic that the rest if the trip.

I think crappie are better on the south end. Plenty of Bass on the north end.

Fish on the south end between 412 bridge and war eagle marina this time of year. Pull cranks off the river channel. We have been doing really good. If you catch any of those stripers, please knock em in the head when you throw em back. They mess up a good crappie lake.
We went out yesterday and had a limit in about 2.5 hours.

been out of town for a few days and just saw your post. Ditto, on the advise LRJOE gave you the south end of Beaver has a better population of crappie and the water always has a little more stain, the north end is gin clear. In addition, the south end has more standing cover. I haven't been on the lake in five or six weeks. However, South town sporting goods in Fayetteville will have some info at times, they are also the best place to buy minnows. Hope this helps some, If you want more details feel free to send me a PM. I agree with Kent please leave those nasty stripers on the north end. lol
Thanks for all the help. I will give you a report, and promise to humanly eliminate any strippers we happen to run across. I hate to see a good crappie hole get ruined by anything other than jig or minnow....
How deep are you catching them joe? I was trolling bandits today with about 120 ft of line out but couldn't get too much of a pattern establidhed
