What a great gester from a great person. I can honestly say that I have meet several people that I would not otherwise know if It wasn't for this site. There are many instances that makes the PEOPLE of this site worth the time spent on here. From watching people rallying around to help out Ms. Fern on the Arkansas Board to "Fesh" on the Sippi board is what makes me keep coming back. These are only a couple of examples and there have been "Many, Many" more.

With all this said, being able to fish the Mississippi FJ's with Billy E this past year has been a tremendous pleasure. Without this site, I would have never met this great man!!.

Thanks ED and all who make CDC!!

CC has helped me better intact with other anglers both personally and professionally. Without this site I am positive that there would be more folks in my District bad mouthing us because they don't understand the reason why we manage lakes a certain way. I have met a lot of really good fisherman and really great people. Cmj is one one of these guys. He has really gone out of his way to show me the ropes! Thanks man!

I have only met Conway in person from this site.. Talked to Meatgetter on the phone..bugged D10 with a zillion questions and received a lot of good advice from several members..thankful for the day I was browsing and found this site!!! Found the manuf. of my new boat on the main forum. Enjoyed all the posts and pictures of crappie. Hope someday to be a lot better fisherman with knowledge from you Pro's. Best advice I have gotten from here is "spend time on the water"...

    Default Crappie.Com

I'm 51 and can honestly say that I had never caught a Crappie intentionally in my life. I had been wanting to learn how for several years and just didn't no how to go about it. I found this website in December of 2013 and joined in January of 2014. Shortly after the new Bass Pro had some Crappie Seminars and I went and took notes from the pros. My next project was to convert a ugly bowfishing boat into a ugly crappie/bowfishing boat. By March I was ready to go and according to this sight Lake Conway and Wilhelmina Cove was a lock for me to catch crappie!! Met Dan at Gold's and he showed me how to get back to the cove. First time under the bridge I hung up two BnM's and almost broke both!!! and .... didn't catch a fish. There was a young man in a Bass Buggy type boat that was pulling up to the dock as I was loading my boat ... Dan came out and looked at LL's load of Crappie!! LL and I struck up a nice conversation and he gave me a few tips on his technique. Next time in I caught 13 and I was rolling!!!

After the tornado I worked the cleanup and met both Matt's and a bunch of others. I worked beside Crappie Greg that day and he and I had a good visit about Crappie catching.

I am always impressed when CMJ, Crappie Pro and Crappie Greg post their pics of single pole/tree Crappie from Conway. I am 0 for 5 trips on the trees of Conway by the way!!!

As I sit here reflecting on my first 4 months of Crappie fishing I have had a ball learning and catching. My Crappie count for the year is 287 and counting. This past weekend I stepped into pulling cranks and the Bandit 300's didn't disappoint ..... again a tip from this sight.

Thanks to all on this sight for your input ... You'll never know how much you help!!

    very cool Greg!!!!
I came to Crappie.com little over 3 years ago, it is responsible for a lot of new friendships built through this forum. I have filled an empty seat in a many a rig and shared an empty seat in my rig on many occasions. 3 1/2 years ago I was a spring time spawn fisherman for crappie, period. Today we fish year round using 5 different tactics which the good folks on this site have helped me with. Whether it be sitting at the table at weigh-in with you and JW at the CrappieMasters tourney or seeing someone from here on the lake or at the ramp, its like a brotherhood and the fellowship is always good. Thanks to Slab and the mods that keep it all going for us, see yall on the water.

I actually joined this site to do some "snooping" as a fishing partner of mine was bad mouthing this site and how people give out information. I wanted to see for myself what he was fussing about. I got in and started looking around. What I found was a surprise!! It was not just a bunch of folks screaming fish here or fish there, there was some great information here. On top of that, quickly it was obvious there was some long standing friendships that had been made right here. I got in and started posting a little and found the folks on here to be really good folks. 2013 found me at my first Crappie Camp and I figured if I was gonna get wet, I might as well jump in. Brought the fish cookers, started talking to some folks and found some I will always call friends. 2013 also found me fishing with CACA. I got spanked at Conway in March after enduring a late March snow and came to the scales with nothing more than a catfish. Jason, Greg and a few others talked to me afterwards and got me on the right track.

This site is unique in the fact that the people here are good, will help you and it is a family friendly site. I like that and that is why I am still here.

Congrats Greg on reaching 2000 posts and thank you to Ed for a great site. Mods, you are highly appreciated for keeping all of us between the lines!!
