Cottonshed Park is a good place to go this time of year. You will probably need reservations if you plan on camping there.

We fished the backside of Horseshoe last weekend. The fish were in 16_18 foot of water suspended around 10 feet. We fished minnow rigs and minner critters and did pretty well. We put in at bullfrog and make sure you run the middle of the river and take it easy in the lake. Major stumps!!!!

I hear folks talking about fishing Horseshoe, and Mud Lake a lot. Does anybody do good up in McGuire? Also, what kind of structure do folks fish around Cottonshed? I heard a lot of that area is silted in.

Anybody think they'll be up shallow within a week?
Talked to a buddy of mine that fishes Cottonshed and they are mostly catching males right now. He said it was still just a little early. If you venture far from the ramp at Cottonshed, be careful of any wind out of the south.

Me and the mrs caught 25 yesterday and 21 today. All males. Wind has been rough.

Other than Yarborough Landing, are there other places to stay near or on the lake?
