As stated before, the fishing has been spotty this year. I've caught them as deep as 22 feet and as shallow as 3 feet depending on the water temp. I skipped Horseshoe Saturday and went to Midway. Figured as pretty as it was, the crowd would be tough at Horseshoe.

    Hope you get into 'em.
    Karefree ramp is now $5.00

How deep is the water in the chute there at Carefree. It is usually pretty shallow there this time of year. Just wondering how much trouble it is to unload and get out to the main lake.

The water level is fine. I put in at Fowlers. The only problem I saw was on the south side of the ramp, there is a hole or something in it, but nothing major. When I loaded the boat back on the trailer, I moved over to the north about 10 feet and all was good.

As far as fish, I caught a few Saturday. The water looks good, but like everywhere else up here, it has cooled off tremendously. I started out with 41 degree water.

No flying carp were injured in my journey there either!

Thanks Arkcrappie. I may try to get over there Friday if the weather holds. If Horseshoe starts heating up would appreciate it if you could let me and everyone else who uses this forum know. I'm still working so I don't get to fish as much as I would like too...but very soon, Good Lord willing, I will be making that a "priority". Best of luck...and Thanks again.
