Default Water stain on a fiberglass boat.

What do I need to use to remove the brown water stain on my white Stratos. When I bought the boat it was spotless & now after 3 all day fishing trips I noticed it was turning brown on the bottom. I've been wiping it down after each use. Thanks for your help!

Atwood premium hull cleaner! The Horton boys used it and dad bought some to try and it works wonders

I use a product called AWESOME from Dollar General. Cleans it right off my painted aluminum. Not supposed to have any bleach or chemicals like that in it. Have used it on my carpet, wheels, and other things. Haven't noticed any I'll affects from it. Best thing is it's cheap.

Most of the over the counter degreaser cleaners will take it off if it's not set. I have cleaned several that I wasn't sure would ever come clean. I found that the aluminum brightner will take the set stains off pretty quick. Since the brightner contains a concentration of acid, handle appropriately and rinse well.

If you find that it is actual staining and not just an accumulation of scum, I would suspect your clear coat is in bad shape. A good wax will help protect from future staining and make cleanup much easier.
    I'd rather be fishing.

Purple power cleaner from Walmart takes it right off my fiberglass boat. Grease around transom too.

I got the Attwood Hull Cleaner from Sportabout in Crossett last week but I think Walmart also sells it. It's unbelievable....leaves the hull looking showroom new.

Greg, I use the Awesome on mine and it works good. Any chemical you use always find a spot on transom or something and try a spot first.

I think so but research it to make sure Greg. It is supposed to be good for fiberglass and painted surfaces. There are stains around the waterline on my boat that no amount of scrubbing with soap will even touch but just wipe this stuff on and it looks like new again like magic. I have only cleaned a couple of spots so far on my boat because I haven't had the time to do a good cleaning (spending all my time rigging rods and making up double hook rigs). When the weather will cooperate I am going to use it on the whole boat. I have been thinking about selling the Triton and getting a new rig so a good cleaning is in order.
