    Default YO-YO time

I know some of you guys think this is the worst thing there is. But, When you work all the time, running a few yo-yo's is about the only way I get to fish right now. And as long as I don't kill any fish ( hope you don't fowl hook any little fish) and don't take over my limit. ( limit one way, is same limit another way)

When is it time to start? Anyone run yo-yo's on lil Maumelle?

Slipcork. I don't do much of it this time of year, but I know a fellow that only yoyos for crappie. He starts about now. He hasn't this year yet. I've seen his pics in years past. He does pretty good at it. He likes the nasty weather to. I know this is second hand but I know he does really well.

Yo yos work best in winter through spring here. Even more so with high water in flooded brush. You just need to get out and fish with one of us . Not me right now cause Nimrod is missed up and Dardanelle is got most stumped this year.

Winter months are best but if you learn to catch em with a jig pole or spidering you can put allot more fish in the boat and its definitely more fun than yoyoing

I don't Yo-Yo, but to each their own. If it's legal, no problem. :-)

Have not yo-yo in years. As Greg said single pole or spidering is the way to go
All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.

Dont let em bother you about running yo yos. I haventin years-. Some of the best times I can remember as a young man was running yo yos with friends and family. We would build a bonfire and camp and cook and have a great time. Only time we could camp and the bugs not eat us alive!

sowing strife is one of the 7 things GOD hates, get them the best way you can keeping it legal and practicing conservation is how i feel about it.

To show my age, we yo-yo'ed every May/June in the Plumerville Cutoff WHEN THERE WERE TREES ALL IN IT!!! We'd motor in from the river (never knew there was another way) somehow, and spend the night. We caught so many catfish we had to clean 'em on the lake and only take home the meat. Too many whole fish to fit in the freezer. I see my yo yo's sitting on top of shelf in the garage, and think about that a lot. Man, I'd never make that now! Now, I gotta go to bed at 8:30 pm!!!
