I would say go with a Shimano. They have many models to choose from in every price range and from my experience they are the best spinning reels on the market by far.
I have 2 Pflueger Presidents and really love them..just had them for 4 or 5 months but so far have been great. have a 6935 i bought used..little big for crappie but i use it slow trolling and landed a 14lb catfish the other day with it. other one is 6920 i bought new and use for casting jigs and vertical jigging. landed a 6 lb catfish with it i caught using a crappie jig.. wish i was catching more crappie!!!!

bub no offense but I own multiple Shimanos including Stella SW I use for King Mackerel fishing in Alabama and the President couldnt hold its jock strap or for that matter nor could any Pflueger. I would would choose a Shimano Sedona or Sahara any day over a President. you obviously have never used one or you wouldnt be using a Pflueger.
I haven't fished with the shimano spinning reels, but I find it odd that they so few bearings compared to the pfluegers.
On a note related to the thread's original post, I couldn't find any reviews online about the Okuma reel he asked about.

Only found 4 reviews, one good three not so good. If casting with reel then I would opt for spending a few more dollars and getting a better reel. This is just my two cents, if your buying a spinning reel for casting or shooting docks and reeling in, the smaller the reel you buy the better quality you need to get. Most important is quality of Drag.
I've got 4 Shimano's that I watched at Walmart for 2 years before they marked them down into my price range. They are a fine reel.
No jockstraps on mine either. That's probably why they marked them down.
