Great post , sorry you'll miss camp.
Couldn't get vacation for crappie camp this year so I went a week early to Lake Dardanelle. We got there Tuesday, it was cold and water temp was 54.The fishing was slow Tuesday and Wednesday but caught enough for a good fish fry.
Thursday and Friday the weather and the fishing got better and by Friday afternoon the water temp was 71.
One of the locals even stopped by and asked my wife if this was crappie camp. I think it was Billy E that he was looking for to feed him.
Saturday we went to Mount Magazine and had lunch and could see Blue Mountain Lake. If you look at the trees in the pictures they were just starting to bud out.
We caught a few fish on brush piles on spanky but most were caught outside the grass where it dropped to 6 to 8 foot on a white and chartreuse. Hate we have to miss camp this year but hope everyone has a good time. I'm sure by then with this warmer weather the bite will be on. Hey DP we were in number 13 its a good spot.
Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
Great post , sorry you'll miss camp.
