Was real good most of the year till last couple weeks. Sure wish the big D would crank up like last winter.
In your opinion, how was Crappie fishing in 2013 compared to previous years? I have to say mine was one of my best years I had. I was able to fish over 150+ day's with most day's with some nice fish. I had the pleasure to chase CMJ, ABH. CP,Nimrod all over the lakes this year. I looking forward to a great 2014 year. I would like to work on my trolling some this coming year also. But there nothing like the pole thump.
All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.

2013 was a very good year for me. I caught more big crappie than I have in a long time but just didn't get to fish as much as I wanted, this thing called work keeps me busy a lot. Ended the year getting a new boat. I've got the motor broke in now time to go fishing.

My year was good for numbers. I think I averaged bigger fish overall in 2012 tho. Caught 3 over 3 and lots of 2,5's and 2 3/4 lb fish in 2012. No 3's in 2013.

My year was down a bit as far as numbers go, but I had more fun this past year than I have in a long time. I spent more time fishing new water than I ever have. Not just one lake, but several. Fishing these new lakes took me way out of my comfort zone and that did nothing but make me a better fisherman. Any time I learn something new, it is a great year.
The best thing about this past year, I made quite a few new friends! The CACA tournaments were a blast and Spring Camp, all I can say is I'm looking forward to this year.
I would say that 2013 was a great year!

Not as good as 2012.
I need to learn new spots, somehow........and maybe new methods. I'm an old curmudgeon and only know one way. I need to learn some jigging (somehow) and at least learn some of Lake Dardanelle, if not other spots. I love Nimrod, have since 1968....but it's too far to go every day.
