Conway and surrounding area lakes and rivers... What is the deal?! Crappie aren't bitting for me. Others I've ran into are saying the same thing. The last 2 weeks have been awful. I'm guessing the weather has/had a lot to do with this. Does anyone have similar problems lately...? If so, what's the deal..?

It was over 2 hours before I got the first bite yesterday. They were definitely where I have never fished before at this time of year up here in NE AR. I'm guessing weather or maybe all the rain has them jacked up.

They are slow from most reports . Like Ranall said weather (high pressure) and too much water is not helping. They should fire up real soon so don't throw in the towel yet!

Fished all day Monday with hardly a bite. All the rain has them messed up. It should get better when the lakes stable out.

I spent most of the day christmas eve on the watensaw bayou were I can usually catch crappie when the water is high enough for me to get into my spot. spent amost of the day there without a bite. I attributed that to the water being way to muddy, and moving way to fast.

7.5 Inches of rain will mess them up.

I heard there weren't any left.

Not sure of that. But that's what I heard.

Come on down. 8 inch slabs are jumping in the boat. Leave cash in the coffee can behind the big rock next to the oak with the crooked limb. Be sure and put the plastic lid back on. Wpts 18, 66, 67, 199, 299, 437, 356, 789, and 00 have fish stacked up out the wazoo. They are hitting great big minnerz. Bring a wide brimmed hat. Waterfowls flying over are randomly releasing bombs. Good luck.
