    Default Junk reels

I have tried Zebco 11 and Shakespear spincast. Open faced Mitchell reels . None seem to hold up one season. Just wondering what everyone using . I guess everything is junk. Pulled out an old Garcia Cardinal and a Mitchell 308 that are Antiques to use , they are old but function better than this new crap.

The new crappie solo reels are pretty nice if you don't fish deep.

Mostly fish shallow but like a good drag. But want to capabilities to fish 20 to 40' in winter time situations.

The solo reel has a good drag and is very light. Fishes excellent shallow to 1.5 times length of rod. When fishing deep I switch reels for a spinner. I have the crappie max and had no issues or browning micro spins. Good luck with both of them.

Ive got a couple of the Browning's also and they are nice. If you want an awesome reel get the plueger presidential 6920. They are a little pricy but man they are nice.

I use Pflueger Presidential 6725 spinning reels, I think the new model is a 6925.

Think u may be correct as they have changed numbers. Think mine only weigh about 6 oz though. Also come with a 1 year warranty.

I use the Zebco omega ZO2's . Pricy, but 7 bearings smooth and doesn't just pile the string up , like the cheap zebco's.

They are pretty tough reels, I use mine for longlining and have landed 8 lb hybrids with them.
