Anybody fishing Millwood at all? Heard the lake was muddy with all this rain. Wondering whether or not to go elsewhere.
Hey guys,
I'm going to Millwood on June 12th for 4 days, and I can't wait. I used to spend a lot of time
up there when I was a young kid, so I know some bass fishing spots I'd like to revisit after
all these years. I have never crappie fished on Millwood, and from what I hear, I should be
beaten for not doing so until now. If anyone can give me the least bit of advice it would be
much appreciated. I'm assuming minnows and jigs like everywhere else work great?
Thanks in advance,
Justin

Hello. I'm not a crappie guru, actually, I'm kinda a newbie. I havent seen the lake lately, but I'm guessing you are right about the lake being high. We camped there about 3 weeks ago and the lake was real muddy. We didnt do much good but we did catch a few nice crappie on trotlines using gold fish of all things. Sorry, I wish I could help ya more. Good luck! Let us know how you do.
Never been on Millwood. Heard of some good ones coming out of there from time to time. Do you really drive A320s?

Just crossed Little river at 71 landing and it looks to be up a foot or two and real muddy with lots of currant. If I were going to fish right now it would be in the oxbos like Mcquire or Horseshoe.Water should be a little better there. 2 Weeks ago they were biting fair in 8 to 12 ft. And the big bluegills were up real shallow and willing to bite.
