Default LOSER status in tact...Shirey Report!

I had clearance to go fishing this morning. I decided to go by myself this time and really try to do some good. Excitement was high as I made preparations last night. I set my alarm for 4:30 as I wanted to be fishing by 6AM. My alarm went off at 4:30 as planned, and again at 4:39. I don't know what happend after that except my daughter woke me up at 8! Dang it, I wasted the best part of my fishing day! Since I was home and girls were up it took longer to leave as I had to be an attentive father a few times

On the water fishing by 10:30. First 10 min. two keepers! They hit great and as soon as the jig got down to about 6 ft. I thought oh yeah, I am finally going to catch some fish. The next 20 min. I caught several really small crappie and by 11 AM it was over! I kept fishing trying best I could to slow down and fish out good tops an trees in shady water, sunny water, deeper water, shallower watter, buck brush, etc., etc. Even slow trolled a bit. Nothing except a few bream now and then!

On top of that my outboard wouldn't start. I thought I finally had it running good a few weeks ago but it ran like crap last week and I couldn't get it started at first today. I let it set for a couple more hours and tried again on my way to the launch and after pulling some muscles in my abs it finally hit and started up but still ran like crap

Safe to say my LOSER club status is far from being revoked!

btw, the water is almost normal level, which means it has dropped a bunch in a week. wt was about 75 and clarity was about normal for those lakes. I left at 1 and there was only one truck left in the parking lot when I got to the launch. Before I could get everything organized and leave, two more boats were launched. I'm guess 15 or more boats will fish Shirey today by the time the sun sets.
no matter what I'm doing, I've got hunting or fishing on my mind...

You were fortunate. One more fish, and you would have suffered a LOSER suspension by the enforcement division. Tony is sure gonna be disappointed when he gets the papers served on him this week. He, being an officer should have known better than to do what he done. Hate to hear about the motor. I suppose you've done the sea foam thing. Add some sea foam to the gas and bring her down to poinsett while I'm fishing. Go zooming by a dozen or more times. I'm accustomed to it and I'm sure it makes the fishing better. Also, check the gas hose and make sure it is not releasing rubber into the carb. I hate ethanol. All LOSERs hate paddling.

Wow, I didn't realize how elite this club was, a 3 fish limit it tough! But I think I am fine.

I ran Sea Foam last fall and Spring. It was running ok so I didn't add any to my current tank mix this time. I think their is a fuel restriction somewhere. It runs out on top for about 15-20 seconds and then starts slowing down. If I back off and run 1/4 throttle for a few seconds it will run back up on top rpm range and then back down she goes. If I just stay on it full throttle it runs about half throttle but it's not steady. It runs like its running out of fuel. I've used non-ethanol gas in the last two tanks. I only put ethanol in one tank mix.

My 25 mercury did that last duck season and it was an air leak in the fuel line.

Yep sounds like fuel line. Hey don't buy just the bubble either, the whole setup isn't too much higher and those lil clip things they use instead of standard everyone can get off hose clamp are crap and will leave you frustrated kinda like me trying to use a big truck batter on my boat and the wingnuts won't work cause they are bigger, or why it seems we have like 50 different ball diameters/hitches, like an inch and 7/8's that nobody uses much anymore????? Oh well I guess they never heard of KISS.
With the fuel mileage my boat gets it won't matter if I run ethanol cause it won't last long enough in a tank for me to separate out and cause problems!

Hate to hear about the boat motor troubles. Glad to see you caught a few good ones but not so many that you would get into trouble.

I've been in hiding all weekend trying to avoid the knuckle draggers that RCC sent over here to serve papers on me.

Now that the weekend is over, though, I'm ready to take my three day suspension during the work week!
    Is winter over yet?
