    Default Spider Rigging

There are times and places for both. A well rehearsed fisherman knows when to put the single poles up and when to break out the spider rigs and vice versa. But to each is their own, when you master both, your catch rate will drastically increase. I don't judge a man by his fishing methods, I judge him more by his knowledge of when to deploy each tactic. I can tell you I was born and raised with a skulling paddle in one hand and a jig pole in the other, but spider rigging I picked up several years ago and it has paid off very well. I have seen this debate several times on the board over the 9 years i've been on the board and it never ends well. Whatever your choice of methods, just thank God and the military you have the freedom to do so! I have personally seen some of the best one poler's in the state make the transition and now they are very good at trolling as well.

    Tight lines!!!

I've caught 'em every way imaginable from rotenone to single poling. Each method has its merits. I am always willing to learn a new technique.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

Dead horse just use the search feature. Same has been said about crank bait trolling, yo yo fishing, jug fishing, etc. if anyone wants to know a new method try it out or go with someone that fishes that way. If you like it fine if you don't fine. Whoa is me the crappie are gonna go extinct!

No I've seen spiderrigging here in the 70's and it anyone can drag minnows in the right area to catch fish. I have spiderrigged years ago and gave it up. Fishing 16 live minnows at a time to catch a limit of 20 seems like an over kill. I fish for sport not just to fill a box with fish whatever it takes.
