Crappie are snobby..... Why can't they be easy to catch...Like bass?

A report from the foot today. We found fish 8-15 FOW water temp started at 48 and got to 56. All the fish we caught were on or near the bottom. Kept 36. Couple good ones but mainly 10-12 inchers. Weather was awesome and also caught a sunburn. Lost some tackle and had a great time.
About 8 o'clock I counted 69 boats and saw the Capps and Coleman boat, not sure if it was them and I assume it was.
Crappie are snobby..... Why can't they be easy to catch...Like bass?
