Thread: Where are all the northeast arkansas guys at?

Skunked at Wappanocca today...
Fished 11-3 did not get a bite. Wind was bad and a little cold. Water was 47 degrees, and muddy.
This was the only time I had today to fish and I went with my Grandpa. Could'nt find minners so we had to drive to Marion to the Gar Hole. It was'nt all that bad though I had never been to Nocca before so I learnt a little bit. Also talked to fellow that my grandpa knew and he said last year he had some good days for crappie on the lake last year. So at least some hope for future trips.

Lake was very nice with tons of structure to fish around I bet it is great for bream in the summer!! Could'nt get my bull headed Grandpa to troll even though we had all the equpiment to do it... All he wanted to do it fish the grass and trees. I don't care even if we did'nt catch a fish because I was fishing with my Grandpa.

Went to mallard today. Fish were not biting from the bank. The whole east side is pretty unfishable due to all the tall brush. The pump was also shut off in the back so i didnt get to stop and fish there either. Fished some out of the youth lake, but didnt get bites, but i also didnt try real hard. Had a buddy that had somewhere he had to be so we left early, but all in all pretty crappy fishing day. Guess i might need to find another lake to fish for a while.

Sorry mo_86_05, the water in Ditch 28 water level fell below the top of the intake pipe so we had to turn the pump off on Friday.

was out by mallard y-day seen trash floating in tha ditch... most time that means its coming up?

We hope so!! We go up there almost everyday to check the level. The USFWS has been diverting water down Ditch 28 to help us pump longer.

Can't decide where to go in off the next 3 days...

Is there anything to do to make the east side fishable? There are so many sticks and grass grew up that you cant cast out from the bank.
