Default Need Help in NW Arkansas

I have been awol from the board for a few months, but I am getting back to the fishing now. My family and I have moved to Fayetteville, AR from Little Rock and I have NO IDEA about any of the lakes up here. I love to pull cranks and spider rig.

My biggest question is information about the lakes below and how they are for pulling cranks and spider rigging.

    Lake Fort Smith
    Lake Wedington
    Lake Prairie Grove
    Bod Kidd Lake
    Swepco Lake

I dare to ask about Beaver Lake. I would not even know where to start.

Friend of mine has been pulling bandit 300's about a mile north of hickory creek. Not loading up the boat but catching 6 to 12 per 2 to 4 hour trip. 12 to 14'' fish.

Lake Prairie Grove is only open on weekends and cost about $3 per person and I think $5 to put a boat in.
No gas motors allowed. I was told you could not have one on the boat

I think Lake Wedington has a HP limit (maybe under 10) check before you go and it also cost to get into the park.

Been to Bob Kidd once and like the little lake, I never run my motor above a idle, For some reason the wife would prefer to go to beaver.
After you learn how to fish beaver, teach me.

I have not fished Lake Fort Smith but did check it out this summer. No HP limit and I think no cost to use the boat ramp.
    Welcome to the area

We fished the north end of beaver in the spring. Bass were plentiful and crappie were non existant. If you get on some walleye, be sure and let no one else know except me. I still would like to catch my first.

Lake Fort Smith is not a Crappie Lake. Never caught much of anything on Lake Fort Smth except stunted Bream before they combined it with Lake Shepard Springs. I used to catch nice Bass on Shepard Springs.
