    Default Mega 25 for sale

I have an original 1993 Tohatsu mega 25 for sale. The stamp on the block says, (M 25 D). I have 50 horse carbs, intake manifold and exhaust tuner installed. PP me for price. The motor runs strong and is in good shape. I also have pics for serious buyers.

Thanks for the heads up I tried to edit it but it was past the 60 minute limit. I'm sorry if I caused any trouble. It was an honest mistake.

Everyone is gettin away from those motors these days cause we dont know how long it will take the AGFC to figure out that everyone is runnin 50 HP motors and start racking up on ticket revenue.

Unless they are going to confiscate the motor, take it to an expert witness to inspect and then have that expert witness testify in court that would be a hard one to prove. It would be much easier for them to just put a speed limit in the WMAs and forget HP restrictions all together.

You may be right but I'm not bettin a 4k motor purchase on your hypothesis of what might happen. A lot of people did but are comin back to the zuki/yami group.

#1 They arent going to confiscate your motor in a situation where they are reviewing the validity of your claim to have a 25 HP motor.

#2 They can call Tohatsu just like everyone else has and verify your serial number. This is when you need one of the 168 (or 182 or whatever it was) serial numbers that come back to a M25D.

Not to mention that it's a 4k bet on a 19 year old "25 hp" motor

Guys you are both right. No they are not going to confiscate you're motor and yes it's a lot of money for a 19 year old 25 hp. motor. This motor is like a classic car there were 1500 of them distributed across south Louisiana and southeast Texas. The bulk of them went to lake area marine in lake Charles louisiana. The reason for this being you were on a 25 hp restriction in lacassine refuge. The motor itself comes in 3 versions. M50D. M40D which is a de-tuned 50,carbs, plates, exhaust tuner. and the M25D which is a detained 40 same concept. When I took the exhaust tuner out of the 25 it fit in the 50 exhaust tuner. The reason these motors were sought after was because you could turn a stock / legal 25 hp motor into a 50 hp motor with stock factory parts. You can not get the same power gains with Suzuki or Yamaha. Suzukis being the slowest of the three. Yamaha is #2 only because you can disconnect the rev limiter and the motor will turn way more rpm than its designed too. You can also disconnect the rev limiter on the mega but not the Suzuki. The rev limiter on this particular motor is still on it. I can run 35 mph with 2 men, a 90# lab, guns, decoys, waders, etc. and if u look at my pic I'm not a little man. The fastest I ran with a normal 25 was 27 mph and I was alone in the boat. There is no replacement for displacement. Hope this helps.

You just repeated verbatim 1995US1's spill about those motors for the last 5 years so Maybe you are Danny T and you're still pushin those motors up here (apparently)? If you are then you amended/appended the total number imported from your statement a few years ago on refuge forums FYI. Either way the stock on those motors started waning when everyone and I mean everyone realized they could buy an M50D (for much less than your "true mega") and decal it it a 25 and then the same bunch started gettin transmortified when they saw a duplicated list of mods that would let a true yamaha 25 run a reliable 40 mph. I'm for free trade so dont take my input the wrong way but honest dialog has put brakes on the "mega craze" as I guess deep down most all duck hunters want the AGFC to work for the purpose for which it was chartered and thats to provide regulations to preserve tranquility to waterfowling in Arkansas for those who can play within those regulations.
