I fished there two days, Friday and Saturday---Fished in Horseshoe and the river.----Caught two nice ones and 5-6 small ones---Returned them to the water.----Cold both days for awhile----Saturday very windy-----Used jigs and minnows.------Bream were getting our minnows so I used panfish jigs to save the minnows-----Bream was on the bottom in about 14 ft. -----I was fishing on the shelf and brush piles.

Cottonshed is dry except for the Saline River and it was very low--it usually stays at about 3-6 ft. on draw down----One ramp open at Cottonshed-------Okay Landing is dry completely----Jacks Isle was dry.
71 ramp very low--needed to back into the water for launch of my Bass Tracker.----River is pretty good and pretty easy to run--just stay in the middle and follow buoys.
McQuire can be reached, but all of the stumps are showing---Same in Horseshoe.
I launched at White Cliff on Friday and Yarbourgh on Saturday--made the run down to Horseshoe--about 6 miles
If we catch any Crappie before February than fish the river.----Draw down stops that month (Feb.)-----Water levels seem to be down 3-5 ft. on average and greater in some places
Not all bad----Last week when it was warm--the word was they were killing them in the river.-----Lot of guys have brush in the water and I suspect the big catches are coming from them.
I am in the process of putting out structures--now is the time to get into the coves while they are shallow.----I really do not know about structure in the river during a lot of rain---Little River gets rough and I see a lot of trash afloat and it may be brush / bamboo piles.
I am going to stay out of the current in the river unless it is in the coves and still not sure if they will stay in place.Thumbs Up

Great report arkyfishing! I wish Millwood was my home lake. I caught an 181/2 inch female there year before last. Didn't get to fish it last year but will have more time to fish in 2012.
