    Default TAME FISH 3/25/16

Took my wife, son, Cousin Brent and his daughter Lily to my reservoir to catch some tame fish! Needless to say with the title we got into them pretty good! Mostly all males with some of the first couple females that I have seen from there so far this year. He got brand new electronics on his boat and he was wanting me to show him the ropes with it. We also dropped 5 bucket stake beds for a lil milk run when we troll. A GREAT time was had by ALL! I love all of my family![IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

What's your strategy in small water like a farm reservoir? I've got some a reservoir i've been wanting to fish but don't really know how to attack it.

    Thanks

Man on a reservoir right now they are going to be on the banks. If the water is super muddy then they will be in inches of water. If the water is clear, then they will spawn a little deeper. Always use a color they can see. Muddy water dark/black/bright colors (bright=chartreuse). Clear water use natural/white/pink colors. They will eat what they can see. Knowing the bottom contour is most important. I know every inch of my reservoirs and have seen em bone dry more than I can count. I used to live right on em and would be the only place I used to fish. Once the water heats up if it is a shallow reservoir the bite will sometimes shut totally down. Once my reservoirs get low they shut down 9 times out of 10. If it is a deep water reservoir I would use my electronics to find em. Let me know if you have any questions that I did not answer. I will be happy to help!
