Is it time for the annual October crappiepalooza in the Cove?

Have Not fished the Cove yet but caught a mess along the creek channel. Looks like fish are averaging 9-12 inches with an occasional good one.
Myself and Meatgetter fished it today and took 21 home then got shut down by the rain. I lost three good fish in the pads. It was my first
trip to Gold this year but talked to a fellow who reported good catches of keepers from the creek. I'll know more this week as I plan on spending
a full day in the area. I can tell ya the rain shut the bite down for us today completely or we probly would have had close to 40 keepers and I know
there are some good ones lurking. Still think its a lil early for the cove yet.

Rain shut the bite down for me too. I went to the first brush pile by the ramp and was getting hit pretty good and the cold rain hit about 8:00. The bite shut off like a water faucet.
    It ain't nuttin but luck.
