I was with him last Friday. We put in at Gold Landing and went west, under the RR bridge, fished up the creek, then under the footbridge. We fished tubes and jigs about 12-18" under a bobber, around laydowns and stumps. We threw crappie spins and roadrunners (crappie thunders). We didn't try any minnows.

I guess it's pretty pathetic when you can't catch crappie. We're just fishing catch and release for fun and may keep 5-6 for eating.

Because of this tournament, this may not be the best time for people to be giving up their secret techniques for finding crappie, but we really need some hand holding here.

Everybody and thier cousins are throwing chartruese up there. We went with something different and had a pretty nice afternoon Friday. Most of our fish came on orange/yellow and a light green/grey marabou jigs. Only caught a couple on anything with char. on it. Most of our fish were caught 3.5-5 feet deep chunkin and way slow rollin.
