Can anyone fill me in on where do the bluegills go during the cold winter months?
Come spring time they are easy to pattern but after the spawn they seem to disappear! The same goes for colder weather.
thanks,

Fish deeper cover close to the bottom ,use worms or crickets with a split shot.

If you can't get a bite with a cricket, then you're fishing in a swimming pool. I'm pretty sure I can catch bluegill on a cricket in a in a minner bucket if its been sitting long enough. :D
Quit complaining about the color, just pull up your skirt and fish! -- snagged
If you are fishing a pond or small lake try fishing the deep water at the dam with a beetle spin. They are alots of fun to catch on an ultra light.

Go Deep with Worms, put a split shot about 10 to 12 inches up from your hook and fish on the bottom. with a tight line. This should get you some bluegill bream.
You can't beat the taste of them ole fried SLABS N TATERS!!
Thanks for the ideas. Maybe I'll just have to give it a whirl next time I'm in my winter catfish hole.
