Getting ready to head down to Strong tonight for our first 2A Conference matchup. Heard they've got a 6'3" 375 pounder playing along the line. CHG #79 better be ready! GTT

if he is 6'3" and 375 in high school, he is one lard a... and can't possibly move fast enough to do anything. just an old coaches opinion

He was a big ole boy, but he was really slow and not aggressive at all. CHG 44 - Strong 0. Strong kids played hard, but just couldn't stop us. Strong fans were almost non existent. Sad that the fans won't turn out on Friday nights to support their kids. Went to high school with the head coach down there and he's trying, but I'm afraid he's fighting a losing battle. GTT

Hampton comes to CHG this Friday with heavy hearts as one of their coaches suddenly passed away yesterday afternoon while practicing with the team. The young coach was only 26 years old and was a very good man, I am told. This game is really important to both teams, but life has ways of making important things seem not so important after all. This week's game will have a different feel to it. Hampton is good. They'll be somber, but they'll come to play. GTT

CHG opens up the game 14-0, then slacked off and started sputtering and wound up losing at home 27-36. Hampton started out slow, but played inspired football in the second half out scoring us 20-0. Gotta clean up the penalties! Too many 2nd or 3rd and shorts converted to 1st downs nullified by holding penalties. Happened at least 5 times! No one injured.......travel to Woodlawn next Friday night. GTT

Here's a few more pics for you Harmony Grove Hornet football fans.

Here's the biggest Harmony Grove Hornet of them all, former NFL player for the Packers, Browns, and Lions, Corey Williams helping CHG running back work out a cramp last Friday night against Hampton.
