With this flood coming in I took a couple great people out catfishing on the Arkansas River in search of some Heavy Hitters!!! There was no current where we were but it didn't seem to matter. The fish had been forced in an 80+ foot hole by the current my last couple trips but since there was no current yesterday they were not in the hole but in the 40FOW directly adjacent to the hole. The heavy wind helped hold the boat still but I had to use 2 anchors and ALOT of anchor rope to keep the boat still!!! Was using big hunks of cut skipjack this time. Caught more channel cats than normal so they must be moving in. My big fish are going to be harder and harder to get on from this point on out. But the 2-5 pound channels cats should really make the bite increase if that is possible haha! The action was slower this trip but we still managed 21 total and only kept 18 nice ones! We caugh a very unique fish. It was an ALBINO (blue cat) that was a 14 pounder! I know muddy water will make em turn white but not like this....this fish was so white you could see the pink pigmentation of his meat under the skin! It was really cool and I personally have never seen one outside of an aquarium! We released her so she could grow and be caught by another lucky fisherman. I hope he will realease her as well! All in all we had a GREAT trip! Pics to follow!
Super cool. Many kudos to you for releasing that one!!!

Durn it mane! Nice catch!
Awesome story and pics, congrats!
Good stuff. Would be neat if that albino had a tag to keep track of its travels.
